Think of plants as nature’s air filters. If you work in an office with few or no windows, chances are there is a build-up of toxins in the air caused Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) found in carpets, insulation or other building materials; plants absorb these toxins, as well as airborne moulds and bacteria, and instead produces oxygen vital for our very survival. Studies suggest individuals who work in offices with plants are 12% more productive and have a 12% increase in reaction time over those who don’t.
